We have spent years inside the UAE's dampest homes.
Now we want to help you get it right the first time.
It usually starts with a smell. A wardrobe that makes clean clothes smell old. A dark line creeping along the top of a bedroom wall. Windows that run with water every morning, even though the AC has been on all night.
For years, those were the calls we answered. Families in villas on Palm Jumeirah, apartments in Dubai Marina and JBR, homes by the beach at La Mer. They had done everything they were told. They cleaned, repainted and turned the AC colder. And the problem came back.
We are the indoor air quality team at HawaQ, and our job became walking into those homes and measuring, room by room, what was really going on. Again and again we found the same thing. The air in the UAE carries more moisture than most homes are built to handle, and the wrong fix often makes it worse.
We do not just sell dehumidifiers. We solve the problem behind them.
Along the way we saw something that frustrated us. People were spending money and still living with the problem. A dehumidifier that was too small for the room. One so loud it was switched off every night. One so ugly it ended up hidden in a cupboard, where it could do nothing at all.
